                        If you're traveling from Colombo, the journey is approximately 40 kilometers and takes about 1.5 hours by car. Start by taking the Colombo-Kandy Road (A1), a major highway connecting Colombo with central Sri Lanka. Once you reach Kadawatha, continue on the Biyagama Road, passing the Biyagama Free Trade Zone. Afterward, head toward Gampaha town. Upon reaching Gampaha, turn onto Varana Road, following clear signage that leads directly to the temple.

                     For those coming from Gampaha, the temple is about 12 kilometers away, with a travel time of 20 to 30 minutes by car. From Gampaha, head toward Veyangoda Road, and then turn onto Varana Road, where signs will guide you to the site.

                    If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Colombo to Gampaha, which runs frequently from the Colombo central bus terminal. Once in Gampaha, you can take a local bus or a tuk-tuk to Varana Raja Maha Viharaya. The roads are mostly well-maintained, and the final part of the journey involves passing through lush, green landscapes as you approach the temple, adding to the serene experience.
